Use of Cellular-Enabled Cameras

1. Coverage and Transmission Area

At the present time, the Seller guarantees network coverage and transmission capabilities in the following countries:

Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (including Réunion and Mayotte), Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal (including the Azores and Madeira), Romania, San Marino, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (including the Canary Islands), Czech Republic, Hungary, United Kingdom (including the Channel Islands), Cyprus.

The Seller reserves the right to modify the list of countries in which the ZEISS Secacam service can be used at any time.

2. Disclaimer of Warranty for Coverage and Transmission Area

The Seller excludes any warranty for the uninterrupted transmission and reception of images/videos from ZEISS Secacam cameras for the following reasons. The transmission and reception functionality of the SECACAM camera may be impaired by circumstances beyond the Seller’s control. For example, cellular network coverage may be limited within enclosed spaces or due to structural conditions. Temporary disruptions or interruptions of telecommunications facilities operated by network providers, as well as insufficient network coverage, may also result in transmission failures. Consequently, images may not be transmitted or may not be received by the ZEISS Secacam App.

3. Misuse of the SIM Card

The SIM card included with the purchase of a ZEISS Secacam cellular camera may only be used with the ZEISS Secacam camera with which it was supplied by the Seller. Inserting a third-party SIM card may, under certain circumstances, damage the camera and result in the loss of warranty coverage.

Any other use of the SIM card installed in the camera is prohibited. The Seller reserves the right to block the respective SIM card in cases of misuse and to suspend the corresponding user’s access to the ZEISS Secacam App.

4. Deactivation of Inactive SIM Cards

The Seller reserves the right to permanently deactivate SIM cards in ZEISS Secacam cameras that have not been connected to the Seller’s app for more than 12 months (i.e., have neither transmitted images/videos nor been connected to the network). Reactivation is only possible after consultation with the Seller’s customer service department. For a one-time fee of €29.99, the customer will receive a new SIM card by mail, which must then be activated.
