Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal described below applies only to our customers who are consumers within the meaning of Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB).

Information on the Right of Withdrawal

Right of Withdrawal*

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 30 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 30 days from the day on which you, or a third party designated by you who is not the carrier, take possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (VALYRA Germany GmbH, Schanzenstraße 38, 51063 Cologne, Germany, telephone: 0800-46 070 60, fax: +49 (0) 221 59 68 62 00, email: info@zeiss-outdoor.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but this is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notification concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Voluntary Right of Withdrawal

If the goods are shipped to you between 1 November and 31 December of a calendar year, the goods may be returned under this voluntary returns policy until 31 January of the following year, even if more than 30 days have elapsed since receipt of the goods.

Consequences of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for any additional costs resulting from your choosing a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal from this contract. We will use the same means of payment for the reimbursement as you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. Under no circumstances will you be charged any fees as a result of this reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You must send back or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you inform us of your withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the 14-day period has expired.

You shall bear the direct costs of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods if that loss in value results from handling the goods beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

If you send parcels without prepaid postage, you shall bear the direct costs of returning the goods. The fees paid for shipping without prepaid postage will be deducted from the reimbursement amount.

Exclusion or Early Expiry of the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of newspapers, periodicals or magazines, with the exception of subscription contracts.

Additional Information on the Possible Handling of a Withdrawal

Before returning devices containing storage media (e.g. memory cards), please note that you are generally responsible for backing up your data yourself. We recommend making an appropriate backup copy and/or deleting any personal data stored on the device, particularly personal data belonging to third parties. If it is not possible to delete the personal data due to a defect, we expressly ask you to inform us of this in the return form.

If deletion is not possible due to a defect, please explicitly notify us that the device contains personal data. Please indicate this clearly on the return slip.

Please remember to return the goods complete, including all parts and accessories supplied.

Your statutory right of withdrawal remains unaffected in all cases by the information and notes in this section 2.
